The tour company had arranged for us to have dinner at the home a local family. Our group helped make a potato/corn fritter similar to a latke, and then our hostess brought out a Peruvian favorite — cuy. Later, at another stop, a woman demonstrated how to make chicha, a fermented corn drink.
